Inglés con Sam

Overview

Inglés con Sam is a personal project I launched during the pandemic to offer online English lessons. Designed to help people improve their English skills, this initiative also provided a meaningful activity during the lockdown. Through engaging and interactive lessons, Inglés con Sam became a valuable resource for learners seeking both education and connection in challenging times.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create an online presence and a personal brand from scratch. I developed an Instagram account and a website, which quickly gained traction and resulted in my schedule being fully booked every day. Teaching from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., I managed to stay connected with my students, ensuring I never felt alone during the pandemic.

A Lifeline During Challenging Times

I decided to include Inglés con Sam in my portfolio because it was a significant lifeline for both me and many others who connected through the project. It allowed me to build new friendships and mutual support during the pandemic, providing a sense of community when it was most needed. At a time when I wasn't receiving much development work due to the economy, this project not only helped sustain my family but also created a positive impact on the lives of my students.
